Let the good times roll! Miguelito has been trying to roll for about a week now, and yesterday he finally made it from his stomach to his back. And then today while he was lying on his stomach, he briefly brought one of his legs up to his stomach and was in the crawling position, although he didn't go anywhere.

His second-ever roll was captured on video. Check it out.

We have over 1,000 pictures of our son now. And probably 50 videos. I don't realize how much he changes until I look at pictures from two months ago and hardly recognize him! Here's one picture of him from mid-May giving a nice Gig 'Em! Luckily there's not a picture of Austin making him give the Hook'em Horns sign at the crawfish boil.

Mama's Birthday

Miguelito has been a very busy boy this past week. Last Friday we went to spend some time with Charles at his work since he had a Family Fun Day followed by going with me to school so I could clean up my classroom and he went with me to Pilates.
Then, Charles and I decided we would go to Zapata to celebrate my grandmother's 99th birthday....I know, 99! I can't believe it and she looks so wonderful. She was carrying Miguelito and bouncing him up and down without problems. This was amazing to both Charles and me because she seems to be strong :) You can see the pictures below. Oh, and Charles gave him a mini-lesson on driving.
This morning Charles noticed that Miguelito is starting to roll over without much assistance. I also noticed that when I put him on his playmat, he went straight for the toy, which he had not done before. We're so excited of how much he's grown.

Miguelito is Awesome!

Miguelito turned 3 months last week, and we realized we need to do a better job of sharing his life with our family and friends. So we'll try out this blog to post a few stories and links to picture and videos.

I'm not sure he has any new tricks, but his best trick by far is sleeping through the night which he has been doing without fail for about four weeks now. We just put him down for the night at 7:20pm, and I'll go get him tomorrow morning just after 6am. It's amazing how little time I actually get to spend with him!

And here's a cute story. I was helping him roll over on his play mat, and he couldn't come close without my help. So I was talking to him and asked why he couldn't roll over. I said it must be because he weighed too much. Just then his left hand pointed to his belly and he gave a huge smile. He's already a comic genius with perfect timing.

Here are a few pictures of him over the past month: sleeping at Memorial Park, spending the day with Mommy being fascinated by ordinary things, and on a play date with Abby.


And here's a cute video of Miguelito being mesmerized by his mobile. He typically won't pay attention to me even if I'm inches from his face if the mobile is on.
